The biggest problem of today's world is deficiency of humanitarian footings, improper and unscientific distribution and management of resources. Millions of children, youths and elders around the world are suffering badly who are in great need of empathy, love, care and protection. So as to curb human sufferings a bit, to provide them love, care and protection an effort had been initiated by Mr. Jewel Das, a school teacher which he had been dreaming for long. The dream came true when Mr. Das and a group of five like-minded citizens clinched together and the philanthropic organisation named as the 'Root Foundation' was set up on 10th of September, 2020 in the time when the entire world was embarrassed by covid-19.

It was the time just before the biggest festival of West Bengal Durga Puja, when thousands of underprivileged children could not satisfy themselves to have smiles on their face seeing the riches having new dresses in numbers but none for them. So it was the first and a very petit effort that Root Foundation had started it’s journey with to serve the humanity by giving 100 such children new dresses bringing them a little smile on their face.

The organisation is now named and registered as the 'Kheyaa Global Foundation' on behalf of humanity by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Government of India under the Act of Section-8 Company, 2013.

The word 'Kheyaa' symbolises a boat or a ferry which aims to carry humanity across sufferings of the mankind.
